Channel Set Eternity Ring

Each stone, set flush.

Two parallel rails of metal hold an uninterrupted row across 270 degrees: the most streamlined way to carry a continuous line of stone. Built to be resized, so it fits for good.

Metal Options

HEIREST pieces are available in a full range of precious metals, each hallmarked to international standard.

Understanding gold purity

Gold purity is measured in karats (k). The higher the karat, the greater the proportion of pure gold - and the richer the colour. Lower karat golds contain more alloy metals, which increases durability and wear resistance.

Yellow, white and rose gold are each available at every karat weight. Colour is achieved through the alloy composition, not by adding or subtracting gold. Your choice of colour does not affect the price or gold purity.

9K Gold (375): 37.5% pure gold

  • What this means: 9 parts gold to 15 parts alloy metals (typically silver, copper, zinc). The highest alloy content of our gold options.
  • Character: Most durable and most scratch-resistant. Slightly warmer, less saturated in colour than higher karat golds. Ideal for pieces worn every day.

14K Gold (585): 58.5% pure gold

  • What this means: 14 parts gold to 10 parts alloy. The most popular choice worldwide - a well-established balance between purity, durability and appearance.
  • Character: Richer, warmer colour than 9k while remaining highly practical for daily wear. A well-established balance between purity, durability and colour.

18K Gold (750): 75% pure gold

  • What this means: 18 parts gold to 6 parts alloy. The international standard for fine jewellery. Significantly purer than 9k or 14k.
  • Character: Deepest, richest gold colour. Slightly softer than lower karat golds but still robust for everyday wear. The closest to pure gold you can wear daily.

Platinum (950): 95% pure platinum

  • What this means: 95 parts platinum to 5 parts alloy. An entirely different metal category from gold - naturally white, exceptionally dense, and among the rarest precious metals on earth.
  • Character: The most substantial feel of any HEIREST metal. Naturally white - its colour comes from the metal itself, not a surface treatment. Develops a soft patina over time (can always be repolished). Extremely long-wearing.

How to choose the right metal for you

  • For everyday fashion jewellery and active lifestyles - 9k or 14k gold: Higher alloy content makes 9k and 14k harder and more resistant to surface scratches. If your piece will face daily exposure to water, gym equipment, or rough handling - 9k or 14k is the practical choice.

  • For engagement rings and pieces you'll wear for a lifetime - 18k gold: 18k is the international standard for fine jewellery, and the default choice for engagement rings worldwide, and for good reason. It contains more pure gold and fewer alloy metals, making it more malleable. For stone settings, this matters: prongs in 18k flex slightly rather than fracture, hold their grip better over time, and are easier for jewellers to service. Higher gold content also means fewer alloy metals to degrade over decades. The result is a piece that wears beautifully, polishes easily, and holds its integrity for generations. If you're buying something to keep forever, 18k is the choice.

  • For the richest colour - 18k in any gold tone: Gold colour deepens with purity. 18k yellow gold carries the warmest, most saturated tone. 18k white and rose gold carry richer depth than their 9k or 14k equivalents.

  • For a naturally white metal - platinum: Platinum's white comes from the metal itself - there is no surface treatment involved. It stays white permanently, develops a soft patina over time, repolishable on request. The densest and most substantial metal we offer.

White gold pieces may benefit from re-plating over time. HEIREST can arrange this at workshop cost - email support@heirest.com for more information.

Two-toned designs

Our two-toned pieces pair yellow gold with white gold, using white gold for the setting and prongs that surround your stone. Interested in a different combination? Our Bespoke team can help - contact them at bespoke@heirest.com.

Ring Sizing Options

Getting Your Size Right

A well-fitted ring sits snugly without restricting circulation. It should slide over your knuckle with a little resistance and feel secure once on. If you're between sizes, go up.

How to Measure At Home

  • Using a piece of paper or string: Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of your finger. Mark where it overlaps. Measure the length in millimetres - this is your circumference. Use the chart below to find your size.
  • Using an existing ring: Place a ring that fits well flat on a ruler. Measure the internal diameter in millimetres and match to the chart below.

Please note: Fingers change size throughout the day and with temperature. Measure in the evening, when fingers are slightly larger. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold.

Not Sure?

All HEIREST pieces include a complimentary first resize within 60 days of delivery. If you're between sizes or ordering a surprise, size up - we'll take care of the rest. We include an HEIREST sizing tool with all orders.

Our Standards

All HEIREST diamonds are sourced to precise quality standards.

All HEIREST diamonds 1.0 carat or greater are IGI Certified. Beyond IGI certification, every stone must also meet our own HEIREST Standards.

Colour: D, E or F.

  • What this means - Diamonds are graded for colour on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (visibly yellow or brown). D, E and F are the three highest grades: closest to perfectly colourless and remain optically flawless.
  • Why it matters - A colourless diamond allows maximum light to pass through and reflects it as pure white brilliance. Lower colour grades can appear warm or yellow - particularly noticeable in larger carat weights.

Clarity: VS2 or better

  • What this means - Clarity measures the number, size and position of a stone's internal characteristics (inclusions) and surface features (blemishes). VS2 (Very Slightly Included) means inclusions are minor and very difficult to detect under 10x magnification.
  • Why it matters - A VS2 or better stone is eye-clean - no inclusions are visible to the naked eye. We set this as our minimum so your diamond looks flawless in real life, not just under a loupe.

Cut: Excellent or Ideal

  • What this means - Cut describes how precisely a diamond has been shaped and faceted - the angles, proportions and finish of every surface. Excellent and Ideal are the highest two grades on the scale.
  • Why it matters - Cut is the single biggest factor in a diamond's brilliance. A well-cut stone reflects light back through the top of the diamond, creating the sparkle diamonds are known for. Even a colourless, inclusion-free diamond will look flat if the cut is poor.

Polish: Excellent

  • What this means - Polish describes the smoothness of each facet surface after the cutting and shaping process. Excellent is the top grade.
  • Why it matters - A finely polished surface lets light enter and exit the stone cleanly, without scattering. It's the difference between a diamond that gleams and one that looks slightly hazy.

Symmetry: Excellent

  • What this means - Symmetry refers to how precisely a diamond's facets are aligned and proportioned in relation to each other. Excellent is the top grade.
  • Why it matters - Perfect symmetry ensures light is reflected evenly across every facet, maximising the stone's brilliance and visual balance. Poor symmetry can cause light to exit from the sides rather than the top.

Fluorescence: None

  • What this means - Fluorescence describes whether a diamond emits a glow when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. 'None' means no fluorescence is present.
  • Why it matters - Some diamonds with strong fluorescence can appear hazy or milky in natural daylight. Selecting non-fluorescent stones ensures your diamond looks brilliant and clear in all lighting conditions - indoors or out.

Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick

  • What this means - The girdle is the narrow band around the widest part of a diamond - where the crown (top) meets the pavilion (bottom). 'Thin to Slightly Thick' is the ideal range.
  • Why it matters - A girdle that is too thin is vulnerable to chipping during setting. Too thick, and the diamond carries unnecessary weight without appearing larger. Thin to Slightly Thick gives the best balance of durability and proportion.
