Every single piece we make at HEIREST comes with certification. The below details the certifications we provide, and in what instances they apply.
Here is what arrives with your piece, and what each document contains.
HEIREST Statement of Authenticity
The Statement of Authenticity is issued with every HEIREST piece. It is the primary record for your jewellery, formally capturing the metal type, karat purity, stone type and specifications, setting style, date of manufacture and assigns a unique identification number for traceability purposes.
In addition to providing peace of mind for you regarding quality assurance, this document can also be shared with your insurance provider to assist in gaining contents insurance coverage.
IGI Certification
For HEIREST pieces that use diamonds (1.0 carat or greater), an IGI certification is included with your piece. This is an independent assessment of your stone, conducted by trained gemologists outside of HEIREST.
The certificate confirms:
Carat weight, colour grade, clarity grade, cut grade, polish and symmetry grade, fluorescence, proportions (table percentage, depth percentage, crown angle, pavilion angle, and girdle thickness) and a visual clarity/imperfection map.
Every stone we use also meets the HEIREST Standards: ensuring each stone is optimally cut and optically flawless. You can learn more about our Standards HERE.
For multi-stone pieces such as eternity bands and tennis bracelets, and for coloured stone pieces of any style, IGI certification is available on request.
Jeweller's Report
Five-stone rings, eternity bands, tennis necklaces, and tennis bracelets are accompanied by a third-party Jeweller's Report, also issued by the IGI. For these pieces, where multiple stones are used, it makes more sense to have the entire piece independently reviewed instead of single-stone certifications.
The IGI Jeweller's Report records: the article description (jewellery type, style, setting); the metal type, colour, and purity; the stone type, origin, and cut; the approximate total carat weight; the colour and clarity grade; the number of stones used; any relevant treatment disclosures; and a photograph of the finished piece.
Summary
Together, these documents give you a complete picture of your piece: what it is, what's in it, and independent confirmation of both. Each document is saved to your HEIREST Vault through your account settings and registered against your Vault Card, found in your packaging set.
